“PLEASANT DAY’S “An East Harlem Story”

A passion inspired Documentary film brought to you by PASTA & PIGSKIN PRODUCTIONS. Over the past few springs we have made you laugh with our live theatre. In this motion picture, near and dear to our hearts we plan to display pride and unique tales of the Italian American people of East Harlem, New York from last century.

A few generations removed from the area, not only are capturing their one of a kind stories but we are bringing them back to their old neighborhood. I have been blessed with the ability to write and create, but decided some stories are better told by the people who lived it, in their own words!

We are currently filming this production and are dedicating as much time and heart to this film as possible. We plan on filming through out the spring and summer months.

The concept for the film was written and designed by Joseph A. Mileto. He is partnered on the project with several Producers and Associate Producers. He is honored to work again with William J. Lappe. Lappe and Mileto collaborated in last years successful Off Broadway comedy “Can’noli Happen Again!”

William is the Senior Film Advisor and a Producer on the project. His cinematic know how and artistic view will help Joseph A. Mileto Direct his first feature film production. Joseph is also lucky enough to have his former actor and friend Robert Mark participate in the film as a Producer.

This project is currently being funded by the group involved and lacks any financial commitment from any one Producer or Financier. If you are interested in contributing and being a part of this POWERFUL, HEART WARMING film please contact Joseph A. Mileto via e-mail joem@pastapigskin.com. SERIOUS INQIUERYS ONLY!

"SLICE OF LIFE"

Slice of life is a new play written by Joseph A. Mileto. It is a complex, yet simple story of a Father and Son. Frank has dedicated his life to his business like many other Italian American men, working and sacrificing to provide for his family.

Sonny, Franks only Son, feels cheated by his Fathers lack of involvement in his life as a child. He believes he has always played second fiddle to the family pizzeria.

A Father who feels like all his hard work has gone unappreciated. A son who wants to see more then the four walls of a Yonkers Pizzeria. Throw in a “Crazy Italian Grandma” a Mother and sister trying to keep it all together and you have the recipe for laughs, tears and all other human emotions.

We are in pre-production for this play and are seeking financing to tell a story of a more typical Italian-American family. A hard working loving, opinionated group who is still chasing the American dream.

If you ever wanted to be a part of a PROUD Italian American story, with no negative stereo-types and bad influence, this is your chance. Help us bring “Slice of Life” to life!
